1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all services provided by Taxis Mauritius and its sister company TML Holidays Tours Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), including airport transfers, private sightseeing tours, and activity bookings across Mauritius. By making a booking through our website at taxismauritius.com, by email, by WhatsApp or by any other method, you (“the customer”, “you”, “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms in full. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking. 2. Definitions

“Airport Transfer” refers to a private vehicle transfer between Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam (SSR) International Airport and any hotel, villa, Airbnb or other accommodation in Mauritius, or vice versa. “Private Tour” refers to a full-day or half-day guided sightseeing excursion with a dedicated driver, covering one of our published tour itineraries or a custom route. “Activity Ticket” refers to a per-person entry ticket for a specific experience or attraction included as an optional add-on within a Private Tour package. “Booking” refers to any confirmed reservation for an Airport Transfer, Private Tour or Activity Ticket made through our website, email, WhatsApp or other communication channels. “Driver” refers to the professional, licensed driver assigned by Taxis Mauritius to carry out your Airport Transfer or Private Tour.

3. Bookings and Reservations

All bookings can be made through our website booking forms, by email at bookings@taxismauritius.com, or via WhatsApp on (+230) 5794 5443. A booking is considered confirmed once you receive a written confirmation from our team by email or WhatsApp message. This confirmation will include your pickup date, time, location, destination, vehicle type and the total price. It is your responsibility to verify that all details in the confirmation are correct and to notify us of any errors within 24 hours of receiving the confirmation.

We recommend booking airport transfers at least 24 hours in advance and private tours at least 48 hours in advance to ensure vehicle and driver availability. Bookings made with less notice will be accommodated where possible but cannot be guaranteed. During peak tourist seasons (December to March and July to August), early booking is strongly advised. We reserve the right to decline a booking if we are unable to provide the requested service safely or within the requested timeframe.

4. Pricing

All airport transfer prices are quoted per vehicle, not per person. Prices include the transfer service, luggage handling and all airport access fees. Child seats are available at no additional charge upon request. Transfer rates vary by vehicle type: sedan and SUV transfers start from EUR 70, minivan transfers from EUR 100, and minibus transfers from EUR 125. Private tour prices consist of two components. The first is the mandatory transport fee, which is charged per vehicle and covers a full day of private transport with a professional driver. The second is the optional activity ticket fee, which is charged per person for specific experiences or attractions included in certain tour packages. Adult activity tickets are priced at EUR 48 per person, child tickets (ages 3 to 11) at EUR 35 per person, and infants under 3 years travel free of charge. Tour prices are clearly displayed on each tour page on our website.

All prices on our website are listed in Euros (EUR). Prices are subject to change without prior notice, but any price changes will not affect bookings that have already been confirmed. Occasionally, entry fees at certain attractions may increase without advance notice from the venue operator. In such cases, the customer may be required to pay the difference directly at the venue.

5. Payment

For airport transfers, no advance payment or deposit is required. Full payment is made directly to your driver upon completion of the transfer. For private tours, an online deposit of 10 to 30 percent of the total tour cost may be required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is payable to your driver on the day of the tour. Deposit payment instructions and a secure payment link will be included in your booking confirmation.

We accept payment in three currencies: Euros (EUR), US Dollars (USD) and Mauritian Rupees (MUR). Cash payments are accepted by all drivers. Online payments are processed securely through our website. Activity ticket payments and tour-related transactions are processed by TML Holidays Tours Ltd, our sister company responsible for tour and activity operations. Receipts are provided for all payments upon request.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

For airport transfers, free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup may incur a cancellation fee equal to 50 percent of the transfer price. No-shows without prior notification will be charged the full transfer amount where a deposit has been paid.

For private tours, free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before the scheduled tour start time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour may incur a cancellation fee. Any deposit already paid will be refunded in full for cancellations made within the free cancellation window. Refunds for online deposits are processed within 7 to 14 business days and returned to the original payment method.

To cancel or modify a booking, please contact us as early as possible by email at bookings@taxismauritius.com or by WhatsApp. We will confirm your cancellation or modification in writing. Changes to pickup times, locations or vehicle types are accommodated free of charge where possible, subject to availability.

7. Airport Transfer Service

For airport arrival transfers, your driver will be waiting in the arrivals hall at SSR International Airport holding a sign displaying your name. Please ensure you provide your flight number at the time of booking so we can monitor your arrival and adjust pickup times in case of flight delays. Our drivers will wait for up to 60 minutes after your flight has landed to allow for immigration, baggage collection and customs clearance. If you are delayed beyond 60 minutes after landing, please contact us by WhatsApp so we can coordinate with your driver.

For airport departure transfers, your driver will collect you from your hotel, villa or specified pickup location at the agreed time. We recommend allowing at least 2.5 to 3 hours before your flight departure time for the transfer, depending on your accommodation location and the time of day. Taxis Mauritius cannot be held responsible for missed flights due to traffic conditions, road closures or other circumstances beyond our control.

8. Private Tour Service

All private tours include a dedicated vehicle and professional driver for the full duration of the tour. Your driver will collect you from your hotel or accommodation and return you at the end of the day. Tour itineraries listed on our website are indicative and may be adjusted on the day based on weather conditions, road closures, attraction opening hours or your personal preferences. Your driver will communicate any necessary changes during the tour.

Tour durations listed on our website are approximate and may vary depending on traffic, the number of stops, and time spent at each attraction. Lunch and refreshments are not included in tour prices unless specifically stated on the tour page. Your driver can recommend local restaurants along the route. Entry fees to attractions, parks and museums are not included in the transport price unless specifically stated. Where activity tickets are purchased through us, the ticket price covers the specified experience as described on our website.

9. Vehicles and Drivers

All vehicles in our fleet are fully licensed, insured and regularly maintained to meet safety and comfort standards. Our fleet includes sedans, SUVs, minivans and minibuses suitable for individuals, couples, families and groups. The specific vehicle assigned to your booking will depend on the number of passengers and luggage requirements. We reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of equal or higher category if the originally assigned vehicle becomes unavailable.

All our drivers are professionally trained, fully licensed by the relevant Mauritian authorities, and fluent in English and French. Drivers are knowledgeable about local attractions, history and culture, and are happy to share recommendations and information during your journey. Drivers are strictly prohibited from making commission-based stops at tourist shops. Your itinerary is yours alone.

10. Passenger Responsibilities

Passengers must be ready at the agreed pickup location and time. For hotel pickups, please wait in the hotel lobby or reception area unless otherwise arranged. It is your responsibility to provide accurate contact details, pickup locations and flight information at the time of booking. Incorrect information may result in delays or missed pickups for which Taxis Mauritius cannot be held responsible.

Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings at all times during and after the journey. Seatbelts must be worn by all passengers where fitted. Children under 5 years of age must be secured in an appropriate child seat, which we provide at no extra charge upon request. Smoking is not permitted in any of our vehicles. Passengers who cause damage to vehicles through negligence or misuse may be held liable for repair costs.

11. Delays and Force Majeure

Taxis Mauritius will make every reasonable effort to ensure punctual pickups and timely arrivals. However, we cannot guarantee specific journey times or arrival times due to factors beyond our control, including but not limited to traffic congestion, accidents, adverse weather conditions, road works, public demonstrations or other unforeseen events. In the event of a significant delay, your driver will keep you informed and we will work to minimise the impact on your schedule.

We shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in providing our services where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (“Force Majeure”), including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather events, pandemics, government restrictions, civil unrest, strikes, airport closures or flight cancellations. In Force Majeure situations, we will offer to reschedule your booking or provide a full refund.

12. Liability

Taxis Mauritius carries comprehensive vehicle insurance covering all passengers during transit. Our liability in connection with any booking is limited to the total price paid for that specific service. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or incidental losses arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to missed flights, missed connections, lost business opportunities or additional accommodation costs.

We are not liable for any injury, loss or damage that occurs at third-party attractions, venues or locations visited during a Private Tour. When you participate in activities provided by third-party operators (such as boat trips, snorkelling, dolphin encounters or park visits), you do so at your own risk and subject to that operator’s own terms and conditions. We strongly recommend that all customers hold adequate travel insurance covering medical expenses, trip cancellation and personal belongings for the duration of their stay in Mauritius.

13. Lost Property

If you believe you have left personal belongings in one of our vehicles, please contact us as soon as possible at bookings@taxismauritius.com or by WhatsApp. We will make every reasonable effort to locate and return your property. However, Taxis Mauritius cannot guarantee the recovery of lost items and accepts no liability for items left in vehicles after the completion of a service.

14. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect personal information (including your name, email address, phone number, accommodation details and flight information) solely for the purpose of providing our services and communicating with you about your bookings. Your data is stored securely and is not sold, rented or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share your details with our sister company TML Holidays Tours Ltd where necessary for the fulfilment of tour and activity bookings. Your booking data may also be shared with your assigned driver to the extent necessary to carry out the booked service. 15. Reviews and Feedback

We welcome customer feedback and encourage you to share your experience with us. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us at bookings@taxismauritius.com within 7 days of the service date so we can investigate and address your concerns. We aim to respond to all complaints within 48 hours and to resolve issues promptly and fairly.

16. Intellectual Property

All content on the taxismauritius.com website, including text, images, logos, designs and software, is the property of Taxis Mauritius or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or republish any content from our website without our prior written consent.

17. Amendments to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Changes will not apply retrospectively to bookings already confirmed under previous Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Mauritius. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
