Definitely yes! but non-alcoholic beverages only.

Can I request my driver for a quick stop-by a shop to by a few things?

A total yes, but not hypermarket or mall and taking no more than 10 min except if that stop is included in the package or an extra charges will be paid to the driver (depends on the time taken).
